The Shanghai-Nantong Railway, which opened on July 1, 2020, features a newly constructed main line with a length of 137.28 kilometers and a design speed of 200 km/h. From June 2018 to December 2019, our company undertook the construction of 25 kilometers of sound barriers along the section between Nantong and Anting, within Changshu City.
Upon completion, the sound barrier project ensured that previously noise-exceeding sensitive areas along the railway, such as nursing homes, schools, and residential areas, met the railway noise emission standards. Additionally, it adhered to the standards for Class 1, 2, 3, and 4b functional zones where these sensitive points are located. This project significantly improved the environmental quality for these sensitive areas along the railway.
