The dust pollution control project at Qinghai Qinghua Coking Plant’s coal yard utilizes advanced wind and dust control technology. When the prevailing wind passes through the windbreak dust barrier, it generates mutually interfering airflows, reducing the kinetic energy and wind speed of the incoming wind, thereby reducing dust pollution. The construction of the windbreak dust barrier was completed in 2007, achieving excellent dust suppression results with a dust suppression rate of over 80%. It successfully passed the environmental protection department’s acceptance inspection.
Xinhua News Agency published a special report titled “Construction of ‘Windbreak Dust Barriers’ in Plateau Coal Chemical Engineering,” which was later reprinted by the central government’s official website.
