With the arrival of the final batch of wind and dust control products at Lanshan Port, Shangfeng Technology’s wind and dust control project at Berth 11 of the South Operation Area in Lanshan Port, Rizhao Port, is pressing the fast-forward button. It is scheduled to be completed at the end of this month and put into use. After its implementation, the dust suppression effect can reach over 85%, helping Lanshan Port to create a green port area.
Lanshan Port is located in Lanshan District, Rizhao City, at the intersection of the New Eurasian Continental Bridge Economic Belt, which is the main axis of China’s coastal economic belt. Currently, it has constructed 29 berths with a capacity of over 5,000 tons, including three berths with a capacity of 300,000 tons, with an annual throughput capacity exceeding one billion tons.
During the loading and unloading operations and storage process in the port’s coal yard, a large amount of dust pollution is generated on windy days, causing not only atmospheric pollution in the surrounding areas but also significant material losses. According to the pollution coefficient published by the environmental protection department, during the storage and operation of coal, one ton of coal can cause a loss of 1-2 kilograms per year.
Shangfeng Technology is a leading enterprise in China’s bulk material yard dust pollution control. It has undertaken the National Key Research and Development Program of the Ministry of Science and Technology—Open-pit Coal Yard Wind and Dust Control Technology Research and Engineering Demonstration Project.
