In order to address the aforementioned problems, the current measures being taken involve spraying water on road surfaces and implementing vehicle restrictions. However, road watering only temporarily suppresses dust. Once the water evaporates, dust will resurface due to the pressure and movement of vehicle tires. While vehicle restrictions can effectively reduce motor vehicle exhaust emissions, they significantly impact people’s travel and economic activities.
Hebei’s Xinle City and Xingtang County have adopted a certain number of remotely operated intelligent mist spraying systems along roadsides and intersections with high traffic volumes to control road dust and motor vehicle exhaust pollution. This measure has achieved positive results.
